The Vice Chairman of the Kano State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Mustapha Gambo Muhammad, has announced the death of his mother, Hajiya Haraja Muhammad, popularly known as Yani.
Mustapha Gambo confirmed the sad development in a post on his verified social media handle on Friday, October 9, 2026.
According to him, the funeral prayer for the deceased will be held at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Rimin Kebe, near Galula Hospital, in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano State.
May Almighty Allah forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant her Jannatul Firdaus and give the family the strength and patience to bear the loss.
