The Provost of Yusuf Maitama Sule College of Education and Advanced Studies, Ghari, Associate Professor Abdullahi Asiru, has congratulated Professor Sani Lawan Malumfashi on his appointment as Kano State Commissioner for Higher Education.
In a congratulatory message issued on November 1, 2026, Associate Professor Asiru said the entire college community was delighted with the appointment, describing it as a recognition of Professor Malumfashi’s outstanding track record and contributions to educational development in Kano State and Nigeria.
The Provost also commended the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for finding Professor Malumfashi worthy of the appointment, which he described as timely and well-deserved.
Associate Professor Asiru expressed confidence that the new commissioner would bring his wealth of experience and commitment to bear in advancing the education sector in the state.
He also prayed to Almighty Allah to protect and guide Professor Malumfashi, granting him the wisdom and strength to discharge his responsibilities diligently and justify the confidence reposed in him.
