The Kano State Commissioner for Science, Technology and Innovations, Dr. Yusuf Ibrahim Kofar Mata, has announced his resignation from his position, stating that the decision followed a deviation from the political framework upon which the government was established.
Yusuf Ibrahim Kofar Mata disclosed this in a message posted on his verified Facebook page on Sunday.
He says he decided to step down in order to uphold the principles and political ideology on which the current Kano government was built.
He expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah and extended special thanks to the leader of the NNPP, Senator Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, as well as the Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for the opportunity given to him to serve as member of the state council.
He also thanked the people of Kano State for their support and cooperation during his tenure at the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations, as well as other key responsibilities he said he carried out in the interest of the state’s development.
