The Managing Director of the Kano State Housing Corporation (KSHC), Alhaji Abdullahi Rabiu, has been re-elected as Vice President of the Association of Housing Corporations of Nigeria (AHCN) for a second term.
Rabiu secured the position during the Association’s 49th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Calabar, Cross River State, a development widely seen as a vote of confidence in his leadership and professional competence by housing administrators across the country.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Director of Public Enlightenment, Kano State Housing Corporation, Malam Ismail Garba Gwammaja.
The statement added that, “His re-election also highlights the growing national recognition of Kano State’s efforts in housing development and infrastructure renewal under the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf”.
According to the Association, Kano State has made significant progress in expanding access to affordable housing, revitalising housing infrastructure, and implementing policies aimed at improving the living conditions of residents. These achievements have positioned the state among the leading players in Nigeria’s housing sector.
Speaking in a telephone interview shortly after the meeting, the Managing Director said the conference, sponsored by the Cross River State Property Development and Investment Limited (CROSPIL), focused extensively on the theme, “Affordable Housing Solutions for Low-Income Earners in Emerging Real Estate Markets.”
Rabiu expressed appreciation to members of the Association for reposing confidence in him and pledged to continue working closely with other executive members to advance the objectives of the Association.
He also promised to promote innovation and strengthen collaboration among housing corporations across the country in order to address Nigeria’s housing challenges.
The KSHC Managing Director dedicated the achievement to the Government and people of Kano State, attributing the success to the support and vision of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in transforming the housing sector.
According to him, the administration’s commitment to affordable and sustainable housing has created an enabling environment for the implementation of impactful housing projects across the state.
Rabiu further reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the state government’s housing agenda and ensuring the delivery of quality and affordable housing projects that will improve the welfare of Kano residents.
